Bauhaus may not have been funded this year by Student Union’s treasury, but the Architecture School Council brought Sam Fox Fest to campus this year to continue its efforts to raise money for its charity, the Alberti Program.

Sam Fox Fest not a fun freshman replacement for Bauhaus

Just like that, without any prior conversations involving ASC, Bauhaus was no more. The funding cut was a strong-armed move by SU and a clear abuse of its power over smaller student organizations, but ASC has been forced to adapt with the sudden change. Instead of Bauhaus this year, expect an all-new and entirely revamped weeklong Sam Fox Fest.

Architecture School Council (ASC) and the GEC (Green Events Commission) would like to jointly shed a bit more light on aspects of our collaboration that were overlooked in Monday’s article. We look forward to addressing those factors in next year’s recommendation and anticipate successful composting at next year’s Bauhaus as well as other upcoming student events.
