Washington University’s Asian American Association (AAA) will showcase student talent at its annual Open Mic Night on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 2-4 p.m. in Ursa’s.
McLeod’s Way was packed with students visiting Nightmarket, despite the fact that it was the same night as Relay for Life, to enjoy food and performances from various Asian cultural groups. Nightmarket, which is based on similar markets in southeast Asia, is organized by the Asian American Association.
Student Union Treasury provided unprecedented funding to Model United Nations at its weekly meeting Tuesday. The extra money was provided to allow the group’s rising number of committed freshmen to attend a conference at the University of Pennsylvania (UPMUN).
College Hall was packed with over 300 students on Saturday night waiting to hear Wong Fu Productions, a team of three young independent filmmakers, speak about their experiences in filmmaking and new media. Students lined up more than an hour before doors opened to get seats for the event, which was sponsored by the Asian American Association (AAA).
More than 250 students gathered in May Auditorium on Saturday to see Harry Shum Jr., who plays Mike Chang on Glee, dance and speak. Shum started the event by performing a short dance routine set to a musical medley including segments of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus and “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz.
