Admit it: Now that the midnight premiere of “The Hunger Games” has passed, you’re feeling a little let down. Sure, the weather is nice, but what you really want is more “Hunger Games.” You need to see more of (SPOILER ALERT) Gale’s plaintive stares after Katniss and Peeta have their cute time, and you are dying to see how the Victory Tour plays out in the next film.
The New Yorker’s film critic Anthony Lane once said, “An alien watching modern movies would think that human intercourse consisted of nothing more than two faces approaching and docking in horizontal silhouette.” And in 99 percent of movies, his statement is true.
The summer music festival has a long and rich history in the United States. As the spring thaw melts into the hazy torpor of summer, temporary stages are constructed and vast, sprawling lawns are groomed for the public. Performers are hired, and the general public is invited to enjoy.
