It’s August 1981. It is orientation for newbies, and a flustered latecomer takes the only empty seat left in the room. He whispers, “What did I miss?” to the pretty girl sitting next to him, completely unaware that this woman is his future wife.
Romance. Humor. Man-eating vegetation. This musical has it all, and it’s gracing the stage of Edison Theater until Nov. 2. “Little Shop of Horrors,” a musical based on Howard Ashman’s book of the same title, revolves around a flower shop on Skid Row and its three employees, Seymour, Audrey, and Mr. Mushnik.
Self-described by founder and sophomore Ben Kras as “WashU’s newest, best, most efficient dating platform,” WUCupid is an online dating program built exclusively for WashU students. WUCupid users have a month and six days to fill out a 38-question compatibility survey. After the survey period ends, there will be a three-day processing period where all responses are analyzed and matches are generated by a matchmaking algorithm Kras created.
I know I’m only a first-year and it’s a little early for me to be complaining, but the Dining Dilemma, as I’m calling it, has already proven to be a real challenge for me. There are two main problems within the broader Dilemma: a lack of dining facilities open on the weekend and early closing times for the retail options open during the week.
