Professors perform in WashU’s second Faculty Music Showcase

Professors in the WashU music department held their second Faculty Music Showcase at the 560 Music Center, exhibiting a range of musical talents and techniques. The Faculty Music Showcase was initiated last February, allowing professors in the department to come together each semester and perform pieces of their choice.

When motion kills music

On Saturday night (Feb. 27), Holmes Lounge was fairly crowded and brightly lit by fluorescent lights. People came to see the Jay Oliver Quartet, although strangely, only three musicians were present—pianist and producer Jay Oliver, guitarist William Lenihan (who is also one of our professors) and drummer Miles Vandiver.
