Transgender and non-binary students deserve to receive vehement and unwavering support from their university as Missouri lawmakers continue to threaten their safety by attacking their rights to gender-affirming care.
The University must rectify this by voicing more consistent support for the Center as well as for its transgender students during this time of crisis.
Student Life will continue to cover issues that affect University and St. Louis community members’ daily lives, while recognizing the importance of reevaluating how we cover sensitive topics.

I cannot understand the choice to bring Amala Ekpunobi, a transphobic content creator for PragerU, to Washington University’s campus (nor can I understand paying almost $11,000 for her). As a member of the SU Treasury, I spent hours combing through Ekpunobi’s videos, and they seem to show a clear contempt for the identities that many people hold on this campus.
