Renowned journalist and author Ta-Nehisi Coates spoke on holding society accountable for continuing the fight against oppressive systems worldwide. The sold-out event was hosted by the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Graham Chapel.
The Washington University Political Review brought Ta-Nehisi Coates, senior editor for The Atlantic and well-known author, to speak on Wednesday in Graham Chapel on the subject of racism in the United States.
With the help of carry-forward funds from last year, Student Union devoted its most significant budget in several years to its 2014-15 Speaker Series. Assuming that the funded speakers have schedules amenable to coming, this year’s selection promises to end up as one of the best in recent memory.
