If you’re like me—which means you’re uncomfortable and awkward in social situations—you probably know how difficult it is to come up with a good comeback during conversation. This is most frustrating when the conversation actually matters—when someone is attacking a subject dear to your heart and you cannot, for the life of you, come up with a counterargument.

I will always be the first to admit that I absolutely love makeup. When I was younger and had more time to waste, I would play with colors and contours until nearly half of my face was covered with eyeliner. I have far too many embarrassing photos of myself attempting (and failing) to look like Kesha and Lady Gaga.
