David Cross is a comedic juggernaut. Cross began as a stand-up comedian and has been performing ever since. You can find his latest special, “Worst Daddy in the World,” here. And on Friday, Oct. 11, Cross is coming to St. Louis to perform at the Delmar Hall.
For musician Kishi Bashi, American society needs more omoiyari. Although there is no direct translation of omoiyari from Japanese to English, it is often roughly translated as “empathy.” According to Kishi Bashi, however, the word is better characterized as “the idea of creating compassion towards other people by thinking about them.”
Iconic indie band Whitney, with opener Hand Habits, dazzled Delmar Hall on this past Tuesday night. Whitney gave a spectacular performance on the second night of their tour promoting their latest album, “Forever Turned Around.”
Mitski performed at Delmar Hall Sunday evening, April 7 with a passionate, idiosyncratic display of musical prowess. Backed by a full band, Mitski sang as she moved slowly around the stage in a spectacularly engrossing performance that stunned me to my core.
