Last week, the Student Life editorial board addressed a recent controversy surrounding an SAT question in an editorial, “Eliminate cultural bias in the SAT.” The controversial question was an essay prompt from the SAT writing section that dealt with reality TV.

A recent SAT Reasoning Test essay prompt stirred controversy after asking whether the airing of choreographed reality TV is harmful to its audience. Even though the prompt explains the basics of what reality TV is, the question is definitely much more familiar and intuitive to someone who has seen a wealth of reality TV shows in the past.

The tuition crisis is worsening as the fees for attending both public and private institutions continue to rise at a pace far exceeding the rate of inflation.
