The students of the Washington University Class of 2024 moved onto the South 40 over three days this weekend, settling in for the final session of orientation and an unprecedented fall semester to come.

Given that many students admitted through the Regular Decision application cycle this year will finalize their college decisions without visiting campus, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions has adjusted their typical programming.

In a time marked by unprecedented events and uncertainty, the Office of Scholar Programs has faced an unusual task. Due to the COVID-19 campus closure, the Office of Scholar Programs’ scholarship Finalist Weekend—originally set to be held March 26-29—has been forced to go virtual.

Washington University concluded the Early Decision II application cycle and accepted the second round of students into the class of 2024, Feb. 13.
