Club running hosts second annual 5k

The Danforth Campus will be host to the second annual “Take Steps for Kids” run/walk on Saturday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. The five-kilometer course begins in Brookings Quad. The race started as an effort by Washington University Club Running to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. Pre-registered students paid $12, while those who did not meet the April 14 deadline for registration can pay $15 on race day to participate.

Race day activities will also include a raffle, relay races for “little siblings” and keynote speeches from Dean Henry Biggs and Becky Jame-Hatter, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri.
