BREAKING: Robbery suspects possibly at large on Danforth Campus

UPDATE:  As of 1:30 a.m., the University emergency website displayed a no emergency status following an alert sent out three hours earlier warning that two suspects were still at large and believed to be on the Danforth Campus following a robbery earlier that evening.

An updated statement provided more specifics on a second robbery that occurred on campus between Millbrook 2 and Village East—two student housing buildings.

The updated statement on the website reads:

“At approximately 8:20 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 14, a robbery without a weapon occurred near the overpass in University City. One person was struck and injured and multiple suspects fled the scene. Three suspects were apprehended and two remain at large, last seen in the vicinity of the Bryan Hall construction site on the Danforth Campus.

A second robbery and assault were reported on campus on the sidewalk between Millbrook 2 and Village East with the suspects matching the description of those in the first reported incident.

Witnesses described the suspects at large as two black male juveniles, one wearing a red hoodie and one wearing a grey hoodie.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Multiple robbery suspects may be at large on the Danforth Campus, according to an alert sent out by Washington University at 10:33 p.m.

According to the alert, sent out through text message and email, the suspects may have fled to around the Bryan Hall construction site area following a robbery without a weapon around 9 p.m near the Overpass, in which one person was injured.

The alert from the University emergency website reads:

“At approximately 9 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 14, a robbery without a weapon occurred near the overpass in University City. One person was struck and injured and multiple suspects fled the scene. Three suspects were apprehended and two remain at large, last seen in the vicinity of the Bryan Hall construction site on the Danforth Campus. A second robbery was also reported on Forest Park Parkway with the suspects matching the description of those in the first reported incident. Witnesses described the suspects at large as two black male juveniles, one wearing a red hoodie and one wearing a grey hoodie.”
