This is completely uncharted territory for the young college student who knows the difference between good beer and Natty Lite, but does not yet know which brand of cider to buy.

Despite its seemingly Italian name, this cocktail is as American as apple pie and the Model T. The martini was made famous to movie audiences by James Bond, who preferred his cocktail shaken, not stirred.

Also called bubbly, fizz, or champers (the latter two are tacky names, but somewhere out there, a strange drunkard is asking for another glass of champers), champagne is a sparkling wine that originated in the Champagne region of France. Cocktail Corner W.I.L.D. Edition: The Morning After

Hopefully you’ve recovered from your post-W.I.L.D./DAYGLOW hangover by now. But for next time, here are a few suggestions for get rid of any hangover. Now, normally I don’t believe in hangover cures. I endorse taking an ibuprofen or Advil and drinking lots of water. Proper hydration is the easiest way to avoid a hangover.

While we here at Wash. U. seem to have a taste only for Natty Light and cheap liquor, there are actually other drinks in the world. James Bond prefers his martinis shaken, not stirred. Don Draper seems to always have an Old Fashioned in his hand. The girls of “Sex and the City” were never without a Cosmo. But how do we make these drinks?
