Fraternity members of Washington University have been prohibited from drinking alcohol on porches of fraternity houses this year. According to David Wallace, Coordinator of Greek Housing Program, such a measure was the last step in a three-year alcohol policy.

This year, the South 40 is host to a food revolution: Students are flocking to Bear’s Den, the new dining facility, in what has been a much-awaited event in recent history. The new facility is adorned with comfortable chairs, flat screen TV menus and state-of-the-art kitchens.
The new Bear’s Den eatery is finally open and offers a wide range of food, from Mongolian cuisine to Indian street food that everyone in the campus can enjoy. Students have flowed into campus since Aug. 15. And the well-lit cafeteria in South 40 House provides them with a diverse palate of food.
