Expectations fulfilled

Expectations. That was the theme of the student convocation address that welcomed most of us to college. In the past four years, whether our expectations were primarily to find friends, succeed academically or become student leaders (or all of the above), something unexpected happened. We grew up. As entering freshmen, we all felt like the adults we almost were.

Syllabi now in course listings with more features to come

Course listings just got a little more interesting. This semester, certain course descriptions in the WUCrsL course listings contain links to the syllabi for those classes. This is the first of three phases of eSyllabi, which aims to create a central repository of all syllabi for students to reference before registering for classes.

Yozamp wins ‘Jeopardy!’ title

Washington University students and faculty alike have been captivated by Wash. U. student Nick Yozamp’s appearances on the popular televised game show “Jeopardy!” So when the final game was shown in the DUC Commons, everyone held their breath, rooting for the Wash. U.’s knight in school-spirited sweatshirt armor. Yozamp pulled through, winning the $100,000 grand prize and some positive attention for the University.

Campus circulator reduces frequency to increase reliability

The Washington University campus circulator began following a revised timetable this week, after shuttle drivers and students raised concerns about the reliability of its schedule. The circulator bus, which previously ran every 16 minutes, will now run every 20 minutes, according to Stephanie Hunter, transportation operations supervisor in Parking and Transportation Services.
