Whatever Happened to… Chris Kirkpatrick?
Justin Timberlake has had an amazing career since breaking up with *NSYNC. He has hosted the ESPYs and “Saturday Night Live,” and starred in movies like “The Social Network” and this month’s “In Time.” Obviously, JT was the most popular member of the boy band, but we’ve heard from most of the rest of them. Lance Bass tried to be a cosmonaut, because apparently he’s too good for NASA. Joey Fatone now has a career in stage acting and TV hosting. JC Chasez has turned into a songwriter, and he now also judges “America’s Best Dance Crew.” Okay, that’s four of them…there was a fifth. Going through the ranks of the *NSYNC-ers, we have just one question: whatever happened to Chris Kirkpatrick?
Unfortunately for Chris, people barely even knew who he was back in *NSYNC’s heyday. He was the fifth member, the one with the weird cornrows and/or bandana, the one whose name nobody could remember other than the diehard fans. Poor Chris, as he was the one who formed the band in the first place. *NSYNC originally became famous in the faraway lands of Sweden and Germany, but we all know what happened when they came back to the States.
The band enjoyed widespread popularity through the early years of the millennium, but fell out of the public eye when Timberlake decided to pursue a solo career. Chris was to be forgotten.
Chris reappeared in 2008 as a cast member on CMT’s “Gone Country,” a show dedicated to trying to turn pop musicians into country stars. Though he was successful on the show, “Gone Country” did nothing to revamp Chris’s career. He has also been a member of the bands FuMan Skeeto, Little Red Monsters and Sureshot, all of which are now defunct.
The former boy band member has sadly fallen by the wayside. He is currently a member of a five-person band called Nigels 11, but by the looks of their website, things aren’t looking too well for them, either. They have no scheduled appearances, and Chris has only tweeted twice since the beginning of the year. Maybe after years of stardom, Chris has become content with a quiet life. We won’t know, though, and will probably always be left wondering whatever happened to Chris Kirkpatrick.

I had the pleasure of being friends w chris back in the day while living in las Vegas. We hung out on numerous occasions with his buddies from home and He was always just a regular guy who was a lot of fun. He just happened to be famous at the same time! We lost touch but I always thought of him over the past decade wondering what he was up too. Glad to hear he is still doing good work in this world! Go chris!
What?? Before write something about someone, you must research! FuMan Skeeto is not a band!! you did not mention Chris kirkpatrick foundation. Just downgraded its image. Do me a favor, Grow !!
I agree.. FuManSkeeto is his clothes line.
His birthday is tomorrow.. in less than an hour. I hope he enjoys it.
Chris was my favorite member of *NSYNC.
i always liked chris in the band and i knw justin them where the populor one but chris stood out for me and its because of him that i start liking nsync and im talking about what 1998 and i have never forgotten Chris up till today
I miss him too! lol He was my favorite when I was in High School and one of those die hard fans! My first concert ever was there No Strings Attached tour. We need to find him..
I agree with K. Chris keeps himself busy doing charity work, like the annual Mask Care Aid Bash (Chris Kirkpatrick Foundation) and joins Garret Lauer’s events whenever he can. He is also still doing music. He helps other artists, produces songs, writes and sings own songs with Nigels11. It’s true he does not update his twitter every day (anymore) but he does update is facebook page. Just because he isn’t in the spotlight anymore, doesn’t mean he is not up to anything. Just like him not being active on twitter anymore doesn’t mean that he is not doing anything. He’s doing a lot. And I’m really proud of him knowing what he went through and where he is now.
um… FuMan Skeeto wasn’t a band, it was a clothing company. And anyone following him on Facebook knows what he’s been up to. He’s been doing a lot of charity work, just like he always has, and he just celebrated his first anniversary with his girlfriend Karly. Also, he’s been getting more into the behind the scenes of the music industry with Working Class Industry (http://www.workingclassindustry.com). Sure Chris hasn’t ended up being a household name like Justin Timberlake, but he’s done a lot of good for a lot of people. I’m sure whether they even know what *NSYNC was, they know and remember his name. So to answer your question of “Whatever Happened to Chris Kirkpatrick?”… He’s kept doing what he’s always done, living life, helping others and keeping the music flowing.
