A coalition of pre-health student groups will host Washington University’s Pre-Health Week, a five-day event featuring programming from Monday, Oct. 22 through Friday, Oct. 26.

Synapse gears up for annual Neuroweek

After the success of its first Neuroweek last April, student group Synapse is hoping to expand its audience with this year’s events. Neuroweek, which was created to promote neuroscience awareness among the Washington University community, is a weeklong series of programs ranging from a surgery screening on Monday to a NeurOlympics trivia event Thursday night.

Synapse plans to bring large AmeriBrain to campus

Students hoping to get a closer look within their own heads may have the opportunity to do so. Treasury voted 9-5-0 Tuesday evening to provide Synapse $7,500 to bring to campus a large inflatable brain that students can walk through.

Students start Neuroweek to build neuroscience presence on campus

Citing a general lack of neuroscience-related programming on campus, student group Synapse decided to host the first-ever Neuroweek to promote awareness of and interest in the subject. Neuroweek had been in the planning stages since January, though the group had wanted to hold such a week for quite some time before that.
