Swimming and diving opens DIII season with win over DePauw

The Washington University swimming and diving team put on an impressive performance in their home dual meet on Saturday against DePauw University, beating the Tigers by a combined score of 317-200, as the men’s and women’s teams both won their competitions with scores of 155-94 and 162-106, respectively.

Women’s track and field overcomes illness, injuries to win Engineer Invitational

Overcoming health issues ranging from food poisoning to muscle tears, the Washington University women’s track-and-field team managed a winning performance at the Engineer Invitational while the men finished fourth. The two squads combined for seven event winners at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Saturday.

Relay planners address Mardi Gras overlap

Students planning the Relay for Life fundraiser at Washington University are worried that Mardi Gras will keep fellow students from attending. The events, which will lead students to opposite sides of St. Louis, are both scheduled for March 5.
