University to host college prep program for underserved students

Washington University plans to launch a pre-college preparatory program for high school students in the St. Louis area this summer. The program, organized by Leah Merrifield, assistant vice chancellor for community engagement, will house 20 rising high school sophomores on the University campus and offer the students programming intended to prepare them for college.

Etherington continues to raise the bar

In what has become almost a routine for the Washington University track and field teams, junior Anna Etherington set another school record last week. Etherington, a systems engineering major from Barrington, Ill., cleared 4.02 meters at last Friday’s WUSTL Mini Meet, upping her already-established outdoor school record by 0.01 meters.

SU Senate rejects proposal to modify University Judicial Code

Student Union Senate voted to table the Office of Judicial Programs’ proposed changes to the University’s Judicial Code at its weekly meeting Wednesday. This is the first time in almost two years that SU has voted against a University proposal, SU officers estimated.

Baseball sweeps Webster as Billig breaks record

The Washington University men’s baseball team swept a doubleheader against Webster University on Monday at Irv Utz Stadium to continue its push to earn a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament. The Bears have won 14 of their last 16 games and pushed their record to 25-13 on the season.
