Softball splits double-header against Monmouth despite injury

Normally, a Washington University softball senior’s college career ends with the final out in May, but senior Ally Berenter’s career end came in April. Berenter was hit in the face by a ball while doing defensive drills during practice last Wednesday. The fluke injury required her to fly home for surgery over the weekend.

Richter makes season debut after quick recovery from arm injury

After snapping his humerus in the first week of the semester, X-ray technicians told Dylan Richter that he wouldn’t be able to play basketball this season. However, the junior co-captain of the Washington University men’s basketball team persevered through an unexpectedly short rehabilitation period and rejoined the Bears’ lineup on Nov. 22 against Augustana College.

Student struck by car on Sunday at Forsyth-Wallace intersection

A freshman female student walking across the intersection of Forsyth Boulevard and Wallace Drive at 12:45 a.m. this past Sunday morning was struck by an eastbound vehicle traveling on Forsyth through the intersection, according to Washington University Police Department Chief Don Strom.
