The WashU Ice Hockey season is a push it’s a determined quest: Nationals. With new talent, strong leadership, and the drive to succeed where they’ve fallen short in the past, the Bears are focused on making history this year.
Despite a 5-0 loss to third-ranked Arkansas in playoffs the previous year, the team has rebounded with a vengeance and commitment to return to the playoffs and compete for a spot at Nationals.
Despite all the sorrows about losing the Rams to Los Angeles and dreams unfulfilled of the Atlanta Hawks returning home to the land of the Arch, we still have two professional sports teams. We should be grateful. We should take pride in our Blues.

But as much as the spring semester is a new start, even freshmen have been on campus for four months now, and our guess is that a majority of you 2016ers are still somewhat trapped inside the Wash. Friday is college night at Hardee’s Ice Plex, where the St. Louis Bandits will face the Traverse City North Stars in North American Hockey League (NAHL) play. In addition to offering live, high-quality hockey, the event features $1 drafts all evening, and the first 200 college students with a valid college ID will also receive a free hot dog.
With Busch Stadium, the Edward Jones Dome, and the Scottrade Center only short Metrolink rides away from campus, there’s never an inopportune time to catch a sports game in St. Louis.
