By the end of the debate, I knew I would be supporting Hillary Clinton in the race for November 2016. When advocating for her, I’ve been surprised by the number of people who have responded to me with: “You only like her because she’s a woman.”

Politics have a strange ability to distort the meanings of words, and this election cycle has revealed the different dialects in which Republicans and Democrats speak.

It’s safe to say Tuesday night’s prime time entertainment television was trumped by the presidential debate—but this time, it finally wasn’t Trump with his feisty firestorm of anti-woman, pro-building-a-wall antics.

Nothing’s official yet (at least not as I write this), but I’d like to take a moment to speculate about a recent headline concerning our President-elect and a certain defeated rival. Yes, the possibility of Hillary Clinton as Barack Obama’s Secretary of State is, well…that’s just it. I don’t quite know what to make of it.
