The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards opened an investigation into Alpha Delta Phi following allegations of violations connected to a registered chapter social event. The fraternity is temporarily suspended until the investigation closes.

“I know that the conduct office is working hard, but that it will probably not be over until after spring break,” Alpha Delta Phi president junior Theo Berriet wrote in a statement to Student Life.

As a result of this, the chapter is not able to host or participate in any social events. Assistant Director of Fraternity/Sorority Life Austin Sandoval-Sweeney said he was not able to share specific details regarding the event that triggered the investigation.

“What I can share is that due to allegations connected to a recent Alpha Delta Phi registered social event, the chapter has been placed on a temporary suspension pending the outcome of an investigation by our Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards,” Sandoval-Sweeney said.

Sandoval-Sweeney said he did not know when the investigation would be completed.
