Undefeated Bears hang on to beat Loras

Division III powerhouse Loras College was the most recent victim of the undefeated Washington University men’s soccer team. With the victory, the Red and Green improved to 5-0-2 and a perfect 2-0 on Francis field.

The men’s soccer team ended its 2009 season on Nov. 7 at the University of Chicago. After finishing 4th in the UAA and not receiving an at-large NCAA tournament bid, games ended sooner than the close-knit group of players had anticipated.

Men’s soccer faces test on field

After going 12-5-1 and falling short of the NCAA tournament last year, the Washington University’s men’s soccer team looks to get out of the gates strong. The Bears have a smart team that is well conditioned and ready for action, with their first game at home against Illinois Wesleyan University on September 1 at 7:30 p.m.
