Blisteringly hot baseball hangs 40 in sweep against Brandeis

This weekend, the No. 18 Washington University baseball team picked up four wins against Brandeis, sweeping the series and moving to 20-3-1 for the season. After the weekend of high-scoring play, over which the team put up a staggering total of 40 runs, the Bears have now won 11 straight games.

Women’s track and field wins Billiken Invitational, men place second

The Washington University outdoor track and field teams battled at the Billiken Invitational this weekend, with the women finishing first over host Saint Louis University and the men finishing second to SLU.

Fresh off best season, women’s soccer sets bar higher for 2013

One year after posting the best record in school history, the Washington University women’s soccer team opens 2013 ranked fourth nationally. The Bears return three All-Central Region players: junior midfielder Anna Zambricki, junior forward Lillie Toaspern and senior midfielder Kate Doyle. Zambricki, a D3soccer.

Women’s Soccer Get Another Shot at NCAAs

Last year, the Washington University women’s soccer team went the furthest that it has ever gone in program history, falling one goal short of an NCAA National Championship. This year, there was uncertainty whether or not the team would even make the post-season with its 10-7-2 record (3-2-2 University Athletic Association).
On Monday, the team received its fifth consecutive Division III NCAA Tournament bid and will face Allegheny College in the first round of play on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
