No. 1 women’s track and field team wins UAA Outdoor Championships, No. 19 men’s team places fourth

For the eighth year in a row, the No. 1 women’s track and field team returned home victorious after the University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Championships in New York City on April 26 and 27. The No. 19 men’s squad fell short of the podium, placing fourth behind Emory University, The University of Chicago, and Carnegie Mellon University.

No. 10 women’s and men’s tennis place third and fifth at UAA Championship

The No. 10 women’s and No. 32 men’s team took on the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida, seeking to bring conference glories to WashU. The men last won in 2014, and the women’s program is still seeking its first win.

No. 11 men’s and No. 15 women’s swim defeat DePauw in final tune-up before UAA Championships

As their two championships approach rapidly with roughly a month left in their seasons, the No. 11 men’s and No. 15 women’s WashU swim teams faced DePauw University on Feb. 1, with both teams coming out victorious. In their final tune-up before the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships, the men’s team won 196-85, and the women’s team won 189-100.

No. 11 volleyball falls short in the UAA finals, look forward to NCAA tournament matchup

The No. 11 WashU volleyball team dominated the opening day of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Friday, Nov. 15, defeating New York University and No. 16 Case Western Reserve University in single-elimination matchups. These victories propelled the Bears into Saturday’s championship game against No. 6 Emory University, where they fell 3-0.

No. 8 women’s cross country and No. 21 men’s cross country secure podium finishes at UAA championship

WashU took to the Coogan XC Course in Attleboro, Massachusetts for the 2024 conference championships, where both the men’s team and women’s team delivered strong performances and earned podium finishes. Competing against some of the top programs in the nation, the Bears demonstrated both depth and resilience, as each team secured third place and laid the groundwork for a promising NCAA postseason.

Volleyball takes Emory to five sets before coming third at UAAs

The playoff fate of the Washington University volleyball team now rests with the NCAA tournament selection committee. After sweeping Case Western Reserve University in the first round of the University Athletic Association tournament, the Bears could not beat No. 1 Emory University on Friday afternoon to advance to the UAA title match and vie for an automatic bid to the tournament.

After a long and exciting season, it’s nearly playoff time for the Washington University women’s soccer team. Before finding out who they will be facing in the postseason, the Bears rounded out their regular season this past Saturday in the Windy City.
