Women’s basketball wins two in Forester Tip-Off Tournament

After starting the season with a narrow victory, the No. 7 Washington University women’s basketball team came away undefeated at the Forester Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. In the first round on Friday night, Bears were pitted against Northland College.

Record falls for swimming at UAA Championships

The Washington University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are both in contention for conference titles through two days of competition at the 2011 University Athletic Association Championships in Rochester, N.Y. The women sit in third out of seven teams while the men are in fourth place. Both teams have already contributed some strong performances.

The Washington University women’s golf team posted its worst scores to date at the inaugural Triton and Bear Invitational, co-hosted by Wash. U. and the University of Missouri-St. Louis at the Gateway National Golf Club.

The Washington University men’s tennis team took both the singles and doubles titles at the 2008 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Championships, a tournament which the team also hosted, this weekend.

Women’s tennis finishes fall season

The Washington University’s women’s tennis team finished its fall season Sunday, competing in the Wilson/ITA Central Regional Tournament.
