Title Mine presented five proposals relating to the Title IX office and survivor support systems on campus to Chancellor Andrew Martin Nov. 23.
It may have been a year and a half since the rally, but survivors are still facing major problems right now.
Those who have experienced sexual violence should not have to be the ones constantly putting in the emotional labor to combat the stigma around reporting assault and fighting for our Title IX rights.
Unfortunately, while progress has been made since the organization’s founding, there are still measures that need to be taken to strengthen our Title IX processes. Now is a time for reflection about both where progress has been made in the last 12 months and where improvement is still necessary.
