Subway has moved, and now all of Mallinckrodt smells like the restaurant’s Italian herb and cheese bread. With that in mind, there are three critical changes that should be made to improve the on-campus dining experience. Think of it as a three-pronged attack on the taste buds and social interaction of hungry, thirsty and festive students.

If all goes as planned, $5 footlongs are set to hit Mallinckrodt Center next fall. Loren Grossman, owner of the Subway restaurant on campus, is currently in discussions with Washington University to take over the space that would be vacated by Hilltop Bakery.

Although the rumor that Subway will be closing has been circulating around the Washington University campus, Subway owner Loren Grossman assures students that the rumor is not true.
