Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to headline W.I.L.D.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will headline this spring’s Walk In Lay Down concert on April 29, Team 31 announced early Friday morning. The group has also booked Flying Lotus, a techno DJ, as an opener for the concert in the Brookings Quadrangle.

It’s inevitable that this question comes up at this time of year—undoubtedly, spring is here. The temperature is up and the sun is out, bringing everyone out of hibernation.

Eulogy to winter

It gave us many things: an excuse to stay inside, a reason to sleep in, an answer to why a few pounds may have settled around our midriffs. “Because it’s winter and it’s cold outside. Shorter days mean longer nights and more sleep in the first place. Gaining fat in preparation for hibernating during the winter is a vestigial evolutionary trait from a distant mammalian ancestor…” we were able to answer in chorus.
