Two robbery incidents occur Thursday, crime alert sent Friday

Thursday evening two robberies occurred near-campus; however, the University body was not made aware of these incidents until an e-mail announcement was sent out on Friday morning. At 8:30 pm Thursday evening, a graduate student’s fiancée was accosted by three suspects outside of her apartment in the 6300 block of Cabanne, located in University City.

Students respond to Skinker, Forest Park construction

Across Skinker Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway, orange cones and construction tape can be found all over the sidewalks, obstructing the way for joggers, bikers and pedestrians alike. Much of the response about the construction has been negative, as the construction not only poses an inconvenience for pedestrians, but it is also dangerous when they have to walk along the car lanes.

Female undergrad raped, robbed along Skinker

A female undergraduate was raped early Monday morning while walking from the Danforth Campus to the DeMun neighborhood. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the victim was walking south on Skinker Boulevard near Northwood Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on Monday when an unknown suspect overtook her from behind.

A female undergraduate was raped and robbed by an unknown suspect on Monday morning around 12:30 a.m., according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Break-ins raise alarm in Skinker-DeBaliviere

After several months of sustained auto break-ins in the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood, the Washington University Police Department has issued a warning to students living in the area.
