Over 50% of fraternity and sorority members at Washington University have permanently deactivated from their organization following a summer of students pointing out the systemic oppression present within the Greek system.

Sisters of Color, an affinity group for women of color in the Panhellenic Greek community, and Lambda Q, a group which advocates for LGBTQIA* students in fraternities and sororities, co-hosted a panel on the experiences of marginalized identities within the Greek system at Washington University Saturday.

Two members of Chi Omega established Sisters of Color, an affinity group for women of color in Washington University Greek life organizations, which held its first meeting last week.
