Additional construction to block access to south entrance of Sam Fox School

The area between Hillman Hall and Givens Hall will be prepared for closure Nov. 22 through Dec. 15. During this time, signage announcing the closure will be posted, landscaping will be cleared and a temporary sidewalk will be installed.

Etta’s Cafe future still in doubt

Following widespread student complaints about the closing of Etta’s Cafe, the eatery will likely remain open for the fall 2017 semester while administration settles on a permanent solution, Dean of the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts Carmon Colangelo told student leaders in a meeting Thursday.

A math class should be a math class, regardless of school

As one of its selling points on tours to prospective students, Wash. U. espouses how easy it is for undergraduates to take classes across schools and even earn dual degrees if so inclined. What Wash. U. neglects to tell those students is that, if they are in the College of Arts & Sciences, earning that second degree or major will consume any time you may have had for electives.
