Two suspects confess to Sunday’s campus robbery

Two suspects brought in by University City Police on Monday made statements implicating themselves in the robbery that occurred Sunday evening near the Big Bend MetroLink Station. The suspects were taken into custody less than 24 hours after the robbery occurred, with assistance from Metro Security and the Washington University Police Department.

Robbery reported blocks from Big Bend MetroLink stop

Three individuals walking from the Big Bend MetroLink station toward Forsyth Boulevard were robbed around 8:25 p.m. Sunday evening, according to a crime alert sent to students two hours later.

Cluster of off-campus daytime robberies cause student safety concerns

Two armed robberies within a mile of the Danforth Campus in the last several days have left students increasingly aware of off-campus safety issues. Both robberies happened during the day, one at gunpoint and the other involving a pocket knife.

Cell phone stolen at Forsyth and Skinker

A female walking on Forsyth Boulevard was robbed of her cell phone at approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. According to the St. Louis Metro Police Department, the robbery took place on the sidewalk outside the Forsyth School. The victim was not associated with Washington University. The victim was not harmed, and no weapon was used.

A female walking on Forsyth Boulevard was robbed of her cell phone at approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. According to a crime advisory sent out to the Washington University community, the victim was approached from behind by a male on the 6200 block of Forsyth and asked to hand over her cell phone.

22-year-old William James Cobbins has been charged with first degree robbery and kidnapping for his crime committed in Snow Way Garage nearly two months ago, the Washington University Police Department confirmed Tuesday. Art student robbed in parking lot behind Cicero’s

A female student from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University was robbed early Thursday evening in the parking lot behind Cicero’s on the Delmar Loop. She was not injured, a police report released by the Washington University Police Department said. The victim reported being approached by two suspects at around 6:30 p.m.

Police investigate robbery, attempted robbery that occurred Thursday night

St. Louis and University City police are investigating a robbery and attempted robbery that they believe were committed by the same suspect. The crimes were committed around 11 p.m. on Thursday. Neither victim was seriously injured and both declined medical attention.

Robbery reported in U. City

Two subjects reported being robbed at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in University City. The victims reported two suspects, one of whom appeared to be holding a handgun, for stealing a canvas bag. The robbery took place near Clemens and Syracuse avenues. This is the latest robbery to take place in University City this year.
