Washington University administrators invited students to share their ideas about plans for the dining location in Mallinckrodt Center that is currently occupied by Subway, Nov. 22.

In July, Panera Bread Co. started what the company is calling a community café, a nonprofit restaurant in Clayton called “Saint Louis Bread Company Cares Café.” The idea was to allow customers to take what they need and only pay what they can afford.
