Despite the disparate journeys these students have taken to get to this point and the unique perspectives each has brought to “Pathways,” they did share one sentiment: gratitude.
Why do stories matter? This is a question I didn’t used to have an answer to. I knew I liked stories, both as a listener and as a teller. I’ve thought about good stories as full of powerful messages that could travel great distances and have lives beyond their intentions. However, after reading “Topics of Conversation” by Miranda Popkey, I’ve begun to see stories in a different light. Now, I see the power inherent in telling a story at all.
Dance students can now apply to Washington University’s new Master of Fine Arts program, which will debut in fall 2016. The program was developed through a collaborative effort between the performing arts Department in the College of Arts & Sciences and the Center of Creative Arts (COCA), a St. Louis non-profit arts organization.
