It’s been a busy spring for Washington University athletics. But, for the most part, scheduled spring games are over, and Wash. U. athletes, just like the rest of us, are now strapping in for the push through finals week, all the while preparing for playoff matches on the other side of their exams.
The Washington University men’s tennis experienced a major case of deja vu this weekend at the UAA Championship in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
In a heavyweight battle between the sixth-ranked Bears and the No. 5 Maroons, Jeremy Bush pulled through, winning the third set 8-6.
Now an assistant coach with the Washington University men’s tennis program, Bandres took part in his second Davis Cup this past weekend, representing Venezuela once again at the Doral Park Country Club in Doral, Florida.
Both Washington University tennis teams were in action this weekend, with the women traveling to the Midwest Invite in Madison, WI, and the men hosting their first home matches of the spring.
The spring sports season has passed its midpoint, with a little less than a month left for most of Washington University’s teams.
