Men’s cross-country posts best NCAA Championship finish in program history

The Washington University men’s cross-country team placed second at the NCAA Championship, the new high-water mark in school history.

Women’s cross country finishes 1st at Oshkosh, men 6th

In a competitive field of 46 teams, including 12 ranked in last week’s U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings, the Washington University women’s cross country team took the title at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh AAE Invitational Pre-National race on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Wash. U. men finished sixth in their field of 45.

Amidst sweltering heat and muddy fields, the Washington University men’s and women’s cross country team continue to stride towards national competition. Fresh off a pair of fourth-place team finishes at last year’s NCAA national meet, the Bears’ sights are firmly set on running in the championships.
