After the day’s festivities, WILDs in the past have always seemed like a bit of an anti-climax. Between the students who don’t make it and those who prefer enjoying the inflatable couches to dancing, the energy never seems to match the hype behind the event. This WILD was noticeably different.

Producer GRiZ, alternative artist Lowell and electro band Five Knives will be the opening acts for Friday, Oct. 24’s WILD concert, Social Programming Board announced Wednesday night.

Lowell and Five Knives will be accompanying headliner Icona Pop on its U.S. Campus Consciousness tour, which aims to emphasize sustainable practices in concerts.

So, the WILD openers are out, and correct us if we’re wrong, but the announcement comes with the sound of crickets. Who are these guys?
