Etta’s Cafe and the carvery station in Holmes Lounge are both tentatively set to close with the opening of Parkside Cafe, an eatery in the newly constructed Schnuck’s Pavilion, in the summer of 2019.
Following widespread student complaints about the closing of Etta’s Cafe, the eatery will likely remain open for the fall 2017 semester while administration settles on a permanent solution, Dean of the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts Carmon Colangelo told student leaders in a meeting Thursday.
Etta’s Cafe, frequented mostly by students and faculty in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, will close after the 2016-17 academic year, the Sam Fox School Associate Dean for Finance Bobbe Winters told students and faculty in an email Friday.
