Football finishes strong, defeats Augustana 45-24 with dominant second half

The Bears defeated Augustana 45-24 on Nov. 16, finishing their regular season schedule and commemorating Senior Day with a meaningful victory. The 2024 Bears finished their regular season with an 8-2 record, becoming the ninth team in program history to win at least eight games.

he WashU men’s soccer team wrapped up their 2024 season in dramatic fashion, coming from behind to beat the University of Chicago 2-1 last Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field.

On a last-minute touchdown, Football holds on to beat North Park 28-21

Pressured deep into the backfield on a first down try, Moore found senior running back Ken Hamilton open. Hamilton ran 25 yards after the catch for a first down. Two plays later, he ran into the end zone to give WashU the lead with just 48 seconds left. The Bears held that lead, defeating North Park 28-21 on Nov. 9.

Back-to-Back: No. 1 WashU women’s soccer defeats No. 15 Rochester for second-straight UAA title

 In the face of pressure, the Bears excelled once again, beating the Yellowjackets 2-0 to earn their second straight UAA championship and an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA tournament. The conference title is the 17th in program history,  and the Bears have now won at least a share of nine of the last 10 conference championships.

Record-breaking offense leads football to a 70-21 victory over Millikin

The Bears’ offense didn’t look back, defeating Millikin 70-21 on Nov. 2. The Bears set a program record with 769 yards of total offense, breaking the previous mark of 726 yards set against Grinnell College in 1948.

A win over Rochester next weekend would clinch a second-straight UAA title for WashU and the conference’s automatic qualifier to the tournament.

No. 3 women’s golf finishes fall season strong with win at Golfweek October Classic

The No. 3 WashU women’s golf finished its fall season at the biggest tournament of the fall, the 2024 Golfweek October Classic in Destin, Fla. on Oct. 13-15. The 24-team tournament featured a field with many of the top teams in the nation, including University Athletic Association (UAA) rivals No. 1 Emory University and No. 2 Carnegie Mellon University.
