CS40 creates Opportunity Fund to offer financial support

Congress of the South 40 passed legislation for an Opportunity Fund that allows students to request money to attend CS40-sponsored events. The fund comes as a result of a joint effort with Student Union to make participating in activities more feasible from students from low-income backgrounds.

Congress of the South 40 hosted its second annual Bear’s Den Appreciation Week—a week of students celebrating the Bear’s Den staff—from Feb. 20 through Feb. 24, incorporating a community service component and providing students with information about unionization efforts for the first time.
