Student Union Vice President of Programming junior Charlotte Pohl filed a petition to recall Election Commissioner junior Randal Walker from her position.
Student Union Constitutional Council voted unanimously not to rerun SU’s Nov. 5 elections following an interpretation request from a petitioner who alleged that the election was improperly conducted.
Student Union released the results of its fall election Nov. 8, making the announcement three days after online voting, Nov. 5, in an unusually long delay caused by what SU described as a “technical error.”
The election filled all open Senate seats, 10 of the 11 open Treasury seats and one ArtSci Council seat, leaving five spots open on the council.
Student Union held its fall elections Tuesday, with students electing 13 senators, 14 Treasury representatives and six ArtSci Council members.
Though less than 5 percent of eligible students voted, Arts & Sciences students approved the ArtSci Council’s new constitution on Tuesday, giving the group the expectations and structure necessary to move forward.
The ArtSci Council assembled on Wednesday evening two weeks ago to vote on the proposed changes to the curriculum in the College of Arts & Sciences, forwarded by the College’s New Curriculum Review Committee.
