After five consecutive 3.5% increases, Washington University’s annual tuition will tick up by 3.8% for the 2020-2021 school year, Interim Provost Marion Crain announced in a statement emailed to students and families Wednesday morning.

Washington University for Undergraduate Socioeconomic Diversity disrupted the University Tuition Forum to advocate for need blind admissions, Jan. 22.

Student Union hosted a tuition forum for undergraduate students in Umrath Lounge Nov. 15. Washington University raised tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year by 3.5 percent.

Chancellor Mark Wrighton and other Washington University leaders noted the progress the University has made toward becoming more affordable while acknowledging the immense difficulties of pursuing need-blind admissions at Tuesday night’s annual tuition forum.
