As winter once again sinks its menacing and merciless claws into St. Louis, the Student Life sports staff turns its gaze towards the spring for round three of the Washington University Fantasy Sports League. Editors Sahil Patel, Zach Kram, Derek Shyr and Alex Leichenger duke it out for the last time this school year, using athletes from the baseball, softball, tennis, golf and track-and-field teams. Since he is nearly 100 points out of third place in the winter fantasy league, Leichenger started things off, with Shyr picking second. Since Kram chose the weekend before the draft to overtake Patel in the winter league, Patel drafted third, and Kram chose fourth and fifth as the draft snaked its way back. Before the draft ended with the 48th pick, there had already been a trade and four players added and dropped. If the league is any indication, this spring season for the Bears should be quite entertaining.
