Treasury rejects appeal to fly students to Poland

Student Union Treasury rejected an appeal to send students to Poland for a climate change conference due to concerns about funding academic work. The Washington University Students for International Collaboration on the Environment (WUSICE) appealed for $5,000 to defray the cost of traveling to Warsaw for a United Nations Climate Change conference next spring.

WU course listings go paperless

Flipping through the course catalog is soon to be a thing of the past. As of next semester, course listings will be exclusively available online via courses.wustl.edu and through a link on WebSTAC. Coupled with the change is an online course listings redesign, which will be launched Oct. 1, according to the notice on WebSTAC.

Business school pursues Starbucks in new complex

Kaldi’s Coffee may soon be facing more competition on campus as the Olin Business School considers hosting a Starbucks in the under-construction Bauer Hall. Contract negotiations with Starbucks have not been finalized, according to Brian Bannister, associate dean for finance and administration in the business school.
