The team played out-of-conference foes North Central College and #23 Otterbein University to kick off the Bear Invite — a tournament that was hosted at WashU this past weekend — Friday night. It won both games with a scoreline of 3-1 against North Central and swept #23 Otterbein.
With the win, the Bears ended their regular season with a record of 19-10 and a 10-4 record in UAA conference play. They finished the year as the 2nd best team in the UAA
After a competitive loss against Case Western, the Bears will head to their first round tournament game with a 17-8 regular season record.
After winning twelve games last season, WashU baseball returns the majority of their squad.
The Washington University men’s basketball team lost the contest against Wabash before taking a one-point victory against local competitor Webster.
“Against good teams, you’ve got to come away with points in those situations — and maybe [then] the game’s different at halftime,” Keen said.
