The junior had another stellar weekend and was named MVP of the Lopata Classic for the second consecutive year en route to leading the team to the tournament title. In the opening round against Earlham College, he scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds, anchoring the 94-64 victory. He also had 25 points and nine rebounds in the 68-66 championship win against Babson College.

Shanna-Lei Dacanay

Basketball
The junior solidified her comeback from a torn ACL this weekend with two strong performances. In the Bears’ 87-76 win over Denison University Saturday, she scored 11 points, dished three assists and went two for two on three-point attempts. She led the team in points and assists Sunday with 12 and three respectively in 66-58 loss to Capital University.

Meredith Nordbrock

Swimming
The senior set a new school record and achieved the NCAA A mark in her victory in the 400-yard Individual Medley at the Wheaton Invitation this weekend, the biggest meet of the first half of the season. She also won the 200-yard IM and 200-yard backstroke and was part of the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team all of which recorded NCAA B qualifying times.

The junior won three events at Wheaton Invitational this weekend, leading the team to a second place finish in the biggest meet of the first half of their season. He achieved the NCAA B mark in all three of his wins in the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyle events. He was also a part of the victorious 800-yard freestyle relay team which set an NCAA A qualifying time.
