Freshman Nat Zenner tallied two goals in the men’s soccer team win over cross-Wydown rival Fontbonne on Wednesday. Junior Elie Zenner, Nat’s older brother, scored the Bears’ other goal, as the University defeated the Griffins, 3-1. The goals were the first two of Zenner’s career and all three goals were scored in a two-minute stretch in the second half.
MeghanMarie Fowler-Finn:
The senior forward on the women’s soccer team scored a pair of goals against visiting Wartburg College in a home match last weekend. Fowler-Finn now has three goals on the season for the 4-2 Bears. The squad returns to play this afternoon when it hosts the University of St. Thomas on Francis Field at 6 p.m. In addition to being honored by Student Life, Fowler-Finn also garnered UAA Player of the Week honors for her standout performance.
